NewCo has figured out how to make a business conference un-boring. It is a city-wide open studio tour where local startup innovators and organizations open up their doors to people who support and want to learn more about the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Cincinnati was one of only 12 cities worldwide to host a NewCo event. Here, at Differential, we were excited to be one of the host companies involved in the festivities. We are a startup (founded in 2013) and happen to share office space with an awesome VC, Allos Ventures. Additionally, we also brought in our friends from Astronomer, a local tech startup that is doing BIG things, to help us host.
Our NewCo session was a one-stop-shop because attendees had the opportunity to speak to a venture firm, a tech startup, and a development studio that's worked with over 75 startups... all in one visit! Together, we were able to provide insight around how funders evaluate startups, what it's like to be running a high-growth venture-backed startup, and key lessons learned when launching MVPs.
We want to give a HUGE shoutout to the more than 40 people who attended our session! Thank you so much for choosing to visit our office, asking the tough questions, and engaging us in great conversation. It was awesome to see our office jam-packed with new and familiar faces.
NewCo would not have been possible without the hard work of Christina Swift, Talent Resource Specialist at Cintrifuse and the NewCo Magic-Maker. Thank you for getting everything planned and organized. #StartupCincy is proud to have you!
We would also like to give props to the entire Cintrifuse staff, Keith Knapp (Assistant Brand Manager, P&G Ventures), and Stan Joosten (Innovation Manager - Global eBusiness, P&G). Thank you for all of your hard work.
If you attended our session, please stay in contact (don't be a stranger!). Even if you missed out on our NewCo session, don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you may have (hello@differential.com).
